Elizabeth Smyth, Community Fundraiser at Focus Ireland visited The Institute of Education today to receive a cheque for €700 from our 4th year students. Students and staff alike had been working hard over the festive period to raise the money, and were delighted to be able to present such a substantial amount to the charity.
Focus Ireland is an organisation that provides services for homeless people. By undertaking a programme of national and local research projects, they identify the needs of homeless people and lobby for changes on behalf of those experiencing homelessness.
