This 5-day Intensive Revision course provides 5th Year students with expert tuition, high quality notes and key techniques to enable them to achieve their maximum potential in the Leaving Certificate exams..

Students enrolling in this course will receive:

  • Recordings of classes to enable students to replay, rewind and re-watch all of their classes.

The Christmas course this year is being taught onsite at our campus in Leeson Street and online. Students can choose to attend onsite or online classes or a combination of onsite and online classes, which ever suits their personal preferences. Both classes offer the student the ability to interact directly with the teacher. Every class is recorded, so student can review their classes right up to the end of the state exams.

Biology (H)

This course is designed for 5th year students studying Higher Level Biology. Classes are exam-centered and particular attention is paid to past papers. The course is delivered by an experienced examiner of Leaving Cert Higher Level Biology who places strong emphasis on exam technique/keywords and the marking scheme. Worksheets will also be given to help students gain an understanding of experiments associated with the higher level Biology course.

This course provides a detailed analysis of the prescribed material for Leaving Certificate English in 2022, with emphasis on providing the student with a solid foundation for further progress in 6th year.

Topics from:

Day 1: A study of two poets in detail – running through a selection of their anthology.

Day 2:  How to answer a prescribed poetry question.  Sample answers.

Day 3:  A comprehensive review of the Single Text – Othello.  Including character analysis, Theme and Language.

Day 4:  How to answer a Single Text question.


French (H)

This course gives a comprehensive overview of key elements of the Leaving Certificate Higher Level French syllabus.

Topics from:

  • Grammar
    6 core tenses- their formation and use.
  • Reading comprehension
    Key aspects of reading comprehension.
    Exam technique.
  • Listening comprehension
    Key aspects of exam technique and vocabulary.
  • Written production
    All areas of the written exam covered, including diary entries, informal and formal letters and abstract topics.


Irish (H)

This course prepares students for success in the Leaving Certificate Higher Level Irish exam.

Topics from:

  • Grammar
    Core tenses: The noun and adjective, focusing on their application in written and spoken Irish.
  • Listening comprehension
    Exam technique and vocabulary.
  • Reading comprehension
    Sample comprehension covering key aspects of this question.
  • Oral Irish
    Some picture sequences and key topics.
  • Written production
    Sample written pieces will be discussed with vocabulary and ideas relevant to various other compositions.
  • An introduction to prescribed prose and poetry


Maths (H)

In this course students cover key elements of the Senior Cycle Higher Level Maths syllabus.

Topics from:

  • Day 1: Algebra 1 (Algebraic fractions. factors, simultaneous equations etc)
  • Day 2: Algebra 2 (Solving quadratic and cubic equations,nature of roots of quadratics etc)
  • Day 3: Algebra 3 (Solving inequalities, modulus, indices and logs etc)
  • Day 4: The Line

A:       Yes. Our classes are supported by the Institute’s exam-focused class notes which will be Handed to the students in class or delivered to students homes FREE of charge, for those attending online. Please allow five working days for delivery.
