Designing and building a drone from scratch and then flying it at speeds of up to 140 Km/h is the challenge facing six of our 4th year students, who are taking part in the SYNDIC8 technology competition.
This global technology competition aims to encourage students to develop their practical STEM skills, in areas such as aerospace, automotive, robotics and programming.
The students must first prepare a business plan, develop a budget and raise sponsorship. They must then design and build their drone, and then present it to a panel of judges at the National Finals later this Spring.
We wish them the very best of luck and will keep you posted on their progress through the competition.
