Right in the heart of Dublin city centre, close to St Stephen’s Green and within easy reach of public transport, whether you are walking, cycling or arriving by bus, tram or train.
Getting Here
Coming from the city centre or the north
Routes 11, 37, E1 and E2 all run southbound through the city centre and stop on or beside Leeson Street Lower. From O’Connell Street or Trinity College, the journey takes around 10 minutes. Get off at the Lower Leeson Street stop and you are less than two minutes from our door.
Coming from the south (Dundrum, Sandyford, Dun Laoghaire, Bray
Routes 11, 46A, 145, 155, E1 and E2 all serve the Leeson Street corridor from the south side. The 46A and 145 come from the Dun Laoghaire and Bray directions, while the 11 runs from Sandyford. Get off at Leeson Street Lower or Leeson Street Upper, both a short walk from the school.
Coming from the west (Maynooth, Celbridge, Lucan)
The X25, X26, X27 and X28 express routes run from Maynooth and Celbridge towards the city, with the X26 terminating at Leeson Street Lower itself.
Coming from Dublin Airport
The Aircoach Route 700 (Leopardstown/Sandyford service) stops at Leeson Street Lower, practically on our doorstep. It runs frequently throughout the day and takes around 30 to 40 minutes depending on traffic.
St Stephen's Green stop
Around a 7 minute walk. Exit the tram, walk south along the eastern side of St Stephen’s Green onto Earlsfort Terrace, then turn onto Leeson Street Lower. The most convenient stop if you are coming from the north side of the city (O’Connell Street, Marlborough, Parnell).
Harcourt stop
Around a 7 minute walk. From Harcourt Street, cut through onto Hatch Street Lower, which brings you directly onto Leeson Street Lower.
Charlemont stop
Around an 8 minute walk. Walk north along the Grand Canal to Leeson Street Bridge, then straight down Leeson Street Lower. The handiest stop if you are travelling from the south side of the Green Line (Ranelagh, Dundrum, Sandyford and beyond).
Pearse Station
The closest mainline station for most rail users, around a 20 minute walk or a short bus or taxi hop. Pearse is served by the DART and commuter services from the north (Howth, Malahide, Connolly) and south (Dun Laoghaire, Bray, Greystones). From Pearse, walk south through Merrion Square towards Baggot Street and on to Leeson Street.
Grand Canal Dock Station
Served by the DART and by commuter services from the Kildare line (Hazelhatch and Celbridge direction). From the station, follow the Grand Canal west to Leeson Street Bridge, around a 20 minute walk along one of the nicest stretches of the canal.
Coming from Connolly or Heuston
From Connolly, take a southbound DART two stops to Pearse. From Heuston, the most direct option is the 145 bus, which runs from Heuston Rail Station and serves the Leeson Street corridor.
Street parking
Pay-and-display street parking is available on Leeson Street and surrounding streets, subject to Dublin City Council hours and tariffs. Spaces are limited during working hours.
Car parks
The nearest multi-storey options are around St Stephen’s Green, including Q-Park Stephen’s Green and Q-Park Dawson Street, both roughly a 10 minute walk from the school.
Coming from the M50
Exit the M50 for the city centre southside (N11 from the south, N4/N7 from the west) and follow signs for the city centre. Leeson Street sits on the R138 route into town from the Stillorgan Road direction.
Walking
From St Stephen’s Green, we are around 5 minutes on foot. From Grafton Street, around 10 minutes. From Trinity College, around 15 minute
Cycling and Dublin Bikes
There are Dublin Bikes docking stations in the surrounding area, and the Grand Canal cycle route passes the end of Leeson Street, connecting east to Grand Canal Dock and west towards Portobello and beyond. We have secure bicycle parking available on site.
