A group of our 6th year Home Economics students travelled to Ballymaloe Cookery School in Shanagarry, Co Cork this week.
While there they took in the beautiful surroundings and toured the organic gardens and farm. They also received a cookery demonstration from Rachel Allen. Following the demonstration, our students prepared the same dishes themselves in the famous Ballymaloe kitchens. They then had the chance to sample the fruits of their good work over dinner!
We would like to thank our wonderful Home Economics teacher Sandra Cleary for organising the trip. It is always a day that our students enjoy and remember.
