Welcome to Week 6 of The Buzz Newsletter!
Our school Canteen is located just past our 19-20 building, on the same side, immediately after the Hatch Street junction. The school canteen is only for Institute students and staff and offers great quality food at great prices.
Well done to 6th Year student Molly Beecher who has had recent success in creative writing. Molly was awarded 2nd prize in the Oxford Classics Creative Writing Competition. The competition is run by the University of Oxford’s Faculty of Classics in collaboration with the Ashmolean Museum. Molly also received commended in the Mary Renault competition in Hugh’s College, Oxford.
The final school deadline date has passed for students applying to Oxford, Cambridge, and for any courses in Med, Vet and Dentistry in the UK. Students have finalised, paid and submitted their applications and the school will now work on the completion of predicted grades and teacher references.
Students who require reasonable accommodations for the Leaving Certificate exams or have queries regarding Language exemptions, can book a meeting with Helen Casey.
This Wednesday 30th September, a speaker from UCD School of Business visits the school to present information on the BComm, BComm (International), Economics & Finance, Sustainability and Law & Business. 4th & 5th Years attend room H1-0 from 11am-11:50am and 6th Years attend room H1-1 from 12:20pm-1:20pm.
