Ethel Mythen is a highly experienced Maths teacher with over two decades of teaching experience. She began her career as a Maths tutor at NUI Galway before moving into secondary school teaching in 2005, where she has since helped students build strong mathematical understanding and confidence.
Ethel holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering, along with both a Higher Diploma in Education and a Master’s degree in Pure Mathematics. She has also contributed to teacher training, working as a lecturer and supervisor on the Professional Master of Education programme at UCD.
In addition to her classroom teaching, Ethel has extensive experience with the State Examinations system, having served as the Organising Superintendent for the State Exams in her school since 2011 and previously working as a State Exams corrector.
