Congratulations to current 5th Year Hazel Bentley who, in September, traveled to Italy to compete in the World Lifesaving Championships as part of the Irish Surf Lifesaving team.
Hazel took home a silver medal with her partner in the board rescue event, just missing out on the gold medal to Australia. Hazel also made the finals in all of the events she entered, both at the beach and in the pool. She finished 9th in the individual surf swim and had top 10 finishes in most events.
The Irish Junior Team, she is a part of, ranked 11th in the World across all the events. What an amazing achievement for Hazel.
