Lauren Tyrrell

Lauren Tyrrell Institute of Education

Lauren Tyrrell is a teacher of English and French and serves as 4th Year Coordinator at the Institute of Education. She holds an International Degree from Dublin City University and studied at Université de Rennes II. She was later awarded a Belgian government scholarship to undertake French as a Foreign Language (FLE) training at Université de Louvain-la-Neuve. She has also completed a Higher Diploma in Spanish at University College Cork.

She holds a Master’s in Education from DCU and has taught a range of programmes, including Cambridge Exams, Middle Years Programme (MYP), IGCSE and the International Baccalaureate (IB), in prestigious international schools across Europe.

Lauren continues to serve as an oral examiner for the State Examinations Commission and has contributed Higher Level French analysis for The Irish Times. Her student-centred approach makes grammar accessible, demystifies written expression and equips students with the tools and confidence to succeed in examinations.
