Summer Gaeltacht Courses @ The Institute
For students entering 3rd Year
1st – 12th July 2024
This Gaeltacht course is designed to provide 2nd year students with a comprehensive knowledge of the Junior Cycle Irish course. Emphasis will be placed on developing the vocabulary and language skills to achieve success in the Junior Cycle examination.
Our Gaeltacht Summer Courses at The Institute of Education aim to foster a love of the Irish language and culture through interesting, fun, and interactive classes. Students will improve their oral, aural and written skills during the Gaeltacht Course and they will be encouraged to use their language skills in class and during the fun afternoon activities.
All students will be provided with a set of notes specifically created for the Institute Gaeltacht Summer Courses and they will be taught by exceptional Institute of Education teachers.
This course takes place at our Leeson Street, Dublin 2 Campus.
Cúrsaí Samhraidh Gaeltachta ag an Institiúid Oideachais
Is í príomhaidhm an chúrsa ná eolas cuimsitheach ar chúrsa Gaeilge na Sraithe Sóisearaí a thabhairt do dhaltaí an dara bliain. Cuirfear béim ar fhoclóir agus ar scileanna teanga a fhorbairt ionas go mbeidh daltaí in ann rath a bhaint amach i scrúdú na Sraithe Sóisearaí.
Is í príomhaidhm na gcúrsaí Samhraidh Gaeltachta atá againn ag An Institiúid Oideachais ná grá don Ghaeilge agus do chultúr na tíre a chothú trí ranganna spéisiúla spraíúla idirghníomhacha. Cuirfidh daltaí feabhas ar a scileanna labhartha, éisteachta, agus scríbhneoireachta le linn an chúrsa Gaeltachta agus spreagfar iad chun a scileanna teanga a úsáid sa rang agus sna gníomhaíochtaí iarnóna. Gheobhaidh gach dalta leabhrán nótaí a dearadh go speisialta ar son Chúrsaí Samhraidh Gaeltachta na hInstitiúide agus is múinteoirí iontacha na hInstitiúide a mhúinfidh an cúrsa.
During the morning classes students will develop written oral and aural language skills in an interactive and fun setting.
Le linn na ranganna maidine, cuirfidh daltaí feabhas ar a scileanna labhartha agus éisteachta i modh spraíúil agus idirghníomach.
Students will be offered a choice of afternoon activities.

The fee to join our Gaeltacht for the 2 weeks programme is: €545
