Summer Language Camp
2nd & 3rd Year Students
Monday 13 July – Friday 17th July 2026
Designed for students entering 2nd and 3rd Year, these courses will develop students’ oral, aural, and written skills in French and Spanish, with specific emphasis on building confidence in speaking and listening. Our experienced and skilled teachers deliver these courses in the immersive classroom environment where students can improve oral and written fluency, expression, and comprehension in the Junior Cycle curriculum.
Students will learn through fun and interactive exercises, developing their overall language abilities and confidence.
All classes take place onsite at our campus on Leeson Street, Dublin 2.

French (H)
This intensive course will provide a comprehensive preparation for the French Junior Cycle Exam, with focus on essential French grammar and key vocabulary.
Topics include:
- Grammar: We will work on the main elements needed to structure a sentence, with focus on determiners, prepositions, adjectives, present, past and future tenses.
- Vocabulary: We will study essential thematic vocabulary (numbers, time and expressions of time, parts of the body, clothes and food), as well as vocabulary relating to daily life (personality, area, house, past-times, weekend, school, subjects, friends and holidays).
- Written Production: WE will study blogs, emails, and form-filling. Looking at past papers, students will learn how to optimise their marks in the written section, using authentic French idioms.
- Listening & Reading Comprehensions: Daily practice using past examination papers.
Spanish (H)
This intensive course provides comprehensive preparation for the Junior Cycle Spanish examination, with a focus on essential grammar, key vocabulary, and exam skills.
Topics include:
- Grammar: Present tense, future tense, conditional tense, and past tense.
- Vocabulary: Thematic vocabulary needed to perform well across all areas of the exam.
- Written Production: Students will improve their written Spanish through guided practice and structured exam questions. Topics: Holidays, Free Time, Local Area, Family, School
- Reading & Listening Comprehensions: Students will work with past papers and exam style exercises to develop strategies and maximise marks in the comprehension sections.

Leeson Street: 10:00 to 13:00 daily
Fees for this course is €195.

- Credit Card payments accepted
- 10% reduction for the second and subsequent members of the same family, attending the same courses. Please contact our office to avail of this discount.

A: No, a hard copy will be provided to each student from the teacher for the subjects they enrol in.
Q: How long is each class?
A: Each class will run over 3 hours each day.
Q: How much is the fee per class?

Q: Is attendance at courses monitored?
A: Yes, students are required to sign a roll sheet at each class they attend. The Institute however accepts no responsibility for students who fail to attend class.
Q: Are the classes conducted ‘lecture style’ or are students free to ask questions?
A: Our classes are interactive and our teachers use a variety of methods to ensure that students can ask questions and contribute to the class.
Q: My son/daughter cannot attended the course. Can we buy the notes?
A: No. Teaching is a central part of all our courses. The notes are to facilitate recall and revision of the day’s work covered by the teacher.
