The best way to prepare for an oral exam is to practice! Taught by our experienced and skilled teachers, this 6 week TEG Oral Preparation Course builds confidence and prepares students for this important exam.
Please note, the 2021 TEG Oral Preparation Course takes place via weekly online classes.
What is TEG?
The Teastas Eorpach na Gaeilge (TEG) Level B1 Oral Irish Examination is part of the application process to study for the Professional Masters of Education (Primary Teaching) in the following colleges:
- DCU (St. Pat’s Drumcondra)
- Marino Institute of Education
- Maynooth (Frobel)
- Mary Immaculate College (Limerick)
TEG Exam Date: 8th May 2021
A minimum of 65% must be attained in this exam to be eligible to apply for the PME (Primary) programme. This certification will be valid for two years before the examination needs to be retaken.
This 6-week oral preparation course consisted of a weekly 1.5 hour class and prepares applicants for the TEG Meánleibhéal 1 (B1) exam, a requirement of application for the PME in Primary Education.
Each week classes will incorporate all aspects of the TEG oral examination including:
- General conversation.
- Role card activity.
- Picture series.
Mock Oral Interview
This course also includes a one-to-one mock oral interview which simulates TEG conditions. This mock interview is intended to build student confidence and conversational technique, ensuring a more relaxed and confident performance in the oral examination.
