At The Institute of Education students in our full-time school have the opportunity to participate in a range of extra-curricular activities.
This provides students with a welcome break from study and is essential in developing self-confidence, responsibility and initiative.
Chess, creative writing, debating & Model United Nations are just some of the clubs available to students. Students can also participate in a range of voluntary fundraising activities and are encouraged to enter competitions such as BT Young Scientist and Sci-Fest. All extra-curricular activities take place after school or during lunchtime.
Health & Fitness Programme
Run by Irish International Athlete Brian Gregan, the Institute’s Health & Fitness Programme helps all students maintain good health and nutrition habits and develop a balanced and focused approach to their studies.
Students can take part in a range of sporting activities throughout the year, such as athletics, circuit training, football, table tennis and GAA.
The programme also includes weekly talks and workshops on health & nutrition, stress, anxiety, coping skills, goal setting and more.
