Institute of Education Senior Mace Debating Competition
The Institute of Education is excited to announce that we will be hosting the inaugural Senior Mace Debating Competition at our Leeson Street Campus on Sunday 9th March.
Time and time again we have seen the fantastic talents of young debaters and seen the benefits that taking part in such events can have for young people. In the spirit of further nourishing this vibrant community, The Institute is launching a new one-day event for Senior Cycle Students (4th, 5th & 6th Years).
At this inaugural event, there will be no charge for participation. There will be three rounds followed by simultaneous finals, with the winners receiving a trophy. A pizza lunch will also be provided for all the competitors!
in the interest of fairness, judging will be provided by members of college debating societies. Additionally, the number of competitive teams that The Institute enters will be equal to the highest number allocated to any other school. Any remaining IOE teams will be swing speakers.
