Dear Parents & Students,
I am extremely pleased that the Department of Education and Skills have published The Roadmap for the Full Return to School. Our team in the school are currently planning to welcome all students back to school at the beginning of September.
Classes for 6th year students will begin on Tuesday September 8th, 5th year on Wednesday September 9th and 4th year on Thursday September 10th, we will also be streaming classes online so that students who are unable to attend school may access their classes. Further details on the IT enhancements will be provided over the coming weeks. The updated school calendar is also available on our website.
Students will be invited to create their timetables from early August. The timetable team will be available to address any queries regarding timetables or subject options. Please contact the school office if you would like to speak with one of the team. There will be an online information webinar for 4th year students and parents in mid-August and the 4th year timetable will be available after this event.
The safety of our staff and students is paramount and we will be following the Roadmap as we prepare for the new term. Please ensure that you are a minimum of fourteen days in Ireland before you return to school in September. The Institute of Education Covid – 19 Response Plan will be forwarded to you and will be available on our website. The Department of Education and Skills have also released a Response Plan for the safe and sustainable reopening of Post Primary Schools, which you can see here.
I am available to speak with you should you have any queries regarding the full return to school for students. I hope that all students enjoy the next few weeks and I look forward to meeting with them at their assembly.
Kind regards,
Yvonne O’Toole
