It’s Week 11 of The Buzz Newsletter, it’s Science Week this week! Science Week takes places every year to celebrate all aspects of Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths (STEM). Science Week this year is running from the 10th – 17th November and the theme is “The Power of Regeneration”. Make sure to get involved in Science Week by carrying out and recording any Science Week by carrying out and recording any science experiment including those that involve regeneration and share it to the Science Week Moodle page.
Congratulations to 5th Year student Lexie Burke who won gold in the -55kg Sparring category at The Irish Taekwon-Do Association (ITA) Irish Cup & National Championships 2024 in Limerick last weekend. Lexie has secured her place ion the Irish team for the European championship in Sarajevo in April 2025. Lexie also has a title fight in kick-boxing on the 30th November at SKiLL STRiKER VI in Bristol. We wish Lexie all the best in Bristol, Sarajevo and in all her future sporting endeavours.
Please make an appointment to see Helen Casey in room 2-6A regarding RACE application form completion. Helen has extra drop-in for RACE this week: Mon, Tues, Thurs & Fri 3:30-5:30pm.
HPAT registration is now open with ACER HPAT Ireland. You will need a CAO number to register. The test window is 14th-23rd February and it costs €160.80. Closing date for registration is 17th January but we recommend getting in early.
Masterclasses:
This Tuesday 12th there is a Biology masterclass with Emily Brady. It is for 5th Years and is live online at 7pm. The link is on your Moodle.
