It’s Week 21 of The Buzz Newsletter and it’s almost time for The Mocks! Orla Ní Shúilleabháin has uploaded some advice for 6th years to their Study Skills Moodle page on preparation for the coming mocks and on exam techniques. Students can also book an appointment with Orla to help structure a study plan for any support they need over the next few weeks. Congratulations to 5th Year students Ziming (Michael) Fang on achieving the “Top Gold” award for Round 1 of the British Physics Olympiad. The British Physics Olympiad (BHhO) is an annual competition set by a group based at Oxford University. It is designed to allow the most talented physics students studying in the UK to demonstrate their skills by solving extremely challenging problems, using both physics which they have already studied and additional information which is provided to them. Well done Ziming!
Thank you to all our students who attended the events throughout wellbeing week last week. It was great to see students at our various talks, workshops, sunrise walks, concerts, quizzes and lunchtime movies. Thank you to all the students who submitted poems to our positive poetry competition. The winner will be announced on The Buzz next week! A special thanks to Luke Rock for organising the vent and for all the staff who helped make it such a success.

- This Tuesday 21st there is a Chemistry masterclass with Tara Lyons. It is for 6th Years and is live online at 6:30pm. The link is on your Moodle.
- This Thursday 23rd there is an Irish masterclass with Luke Rock. It is for 5th & 6th Years and is live online at 6pm. The link is on your Moodle.
- This Thursday 23rd there is an Economics masterclass with Rob Quinlan. It is for 6th Years and is live online at 7pm. The link is on your Moodle.
