It’s Week 5 of The Buzz Newsletter! Congratulations to two of our 6th Year students who were very busy this Summer winning awards at Feis Ceoil 2025. Christopher Kavanagh was awarded 1st in the Senior Pianoforte Solo Competition, and Sinead Glynn was awarded 2nd in the Junior Pianoforte Solo Competition. Well done guys!
A record number of almost 100 Institute students took part in the first round of the Irish Maths Olympiad 2025/26, which was held on 18th September. It was great to see so manty mathletes in action. Thanks to Andy Quinn, Adam Goodwin and Oliver Murphy for organising.
A reminder that the school deadline date for applying to Oxford, Cambridge, and courses in Medicine, Veterinary and Dentistry in the UK is Wednesday 24th September. Please book a guidance meeting online as soon as possible if you have not yet done so.
Masterclasses:
- This Monday 22nd, there is an Accounting masterclass with Arthur Russell. It is for 5th & 6th Years and is live online at 4:30pm. The link is on your Moodle.
- This Tuesday’s masterclass with William Murphy has been cancelled. We will reschedule as soon as possible and update you in The Buzz.
