A group of our 4th year students visited the RDS yesterday to learn about the potential career opportunities that are available to women in the fields of science, technology, engineering and maths (STEM). The ‘I WISH’ conference, now in its seventh year, is an initiative to inspire and motivate young female students to pursue careers in STEM.
The event featured talks by keynote speakers who have built careers in the STEM industries followed by a brief panel discussion. The students then moved on to the I WISH Exhibition Area, to engage first-hand with STEM industry exhibitors and partners, such as Google, Carton Saloon, Dell and LinkedIn. We hope all students were inspired by this informative day out!
