It’s Week 23 of The Buzz Newsletter! Well done to 6th Year student Thomas Sheehy who won our wellbeing ‘Sparking Joy’ photo competition 2024/25. It was hard to pick a winner as so many of your entries made us smile but it is also hard to deny the pure joy on Haky’s face! And yes, Haky’s cake was made with dog friendly ingredients! Congratulations to 4th Year student Anna, who was the winner of our Wellbeing week Poetry contest 2024/25!
A reminder that March 1st is the latest date in the CAO for students to pay an additional €10 processing fee to add a restricted course.
The DARE online Section A must be completed by March 1st. You must tick ‘yes’ to Questions 1 and complete Section A of the Supplementary Information Form (SIF) on your CAO. Don’t forget to hit the submit button! All supporting documentation for HEAR/DARE application must arrive in the CAO office, Galway by March 15th. If you have any questions, drop in to see Helen in room 2-6A or email her at hcasey@instituteofeducation.ie.
If you have not yet applied for an Irish and/or language exemption, and you are entitled to one, the NUI application for language exemptions is now online and is time sensitive. Visit the NUI website to complete the application. If you have received an NUI exemption, make sure that NUI has you CAO number. TCD is not an NUI college and requires one other language as well as English for entry. If you are entitled to a language exemption and are not taking a language (as well as English), TCD require a single page application form to be downloaded, printed, completed and posted to TCD admissions.
Masterclasses:
- This Wednesday 5th, there is an English masterclass with Emma Grealy. It is for 5th & 6th Years and is live online at 6pm. The link is on your Moodle.
