It’s Week 24 of The Buzz Newsletter! Congratulations to 5th Year student Elettra Thomas who won silver along with her team the Dalkey Devils Volleyball Club (U18 Division) in the Volleyball Ireland Youth Championships 2025. The national tournament was held in the Kingfisher Sports Centre, University of Galway on Sunday 19th January. Well done to Elettra and best of luck with all your future sporting endeavours.
Our students had huge success in the Leinster Schools Swimming Championships this year. There were lots of personal bests, medals and top 10 finishes across the board. Hannah Poynton came 2nd in the Female 100 Fly (17-19). Siona Beagon, Jia Li, Hannah Poynton and Sean O’Rourke came joint 2nd in the 4x50m mixed medley relay (17-19). Luke Wynne, Jia Li, Robert Nixon and Sean O’Rourke came joint 3rd in the Open 4x50m Freestyle Team Relay (17-19). Well done to everyone and best of luck with the rest of the competition.
The closing date for final completion of online HEAR/DARE application forms is on 1st March. DARE applicants must tick ‘yes’ to Question 1 and complete Section A of the Supplementary Information Form (SIF) on your CAO.
The latest date for CAO Restricted Application courses is 1st March 2025. An additional fee of €10 applies.
