Staying Positive

Positivity is essential when it comes to studying effectively. 
Here are some tips on how to stay positive from our study skills mentor, Orla Ní Shúilleabháin:

 

 

Mind your Body:

  • Maintain a balanced diet
  • Cut down on caffeine
  • Continue playing sport or do some physical exercise you enjoy each day
  • Get enough sleep

Mind Your Mind:

  •  Believe in yourself and your achievements
  • Take regular breaks
  • Pace yourself
  • Work within your own capabilities – don’t compare yourself to others
  • Set realistic goals

Most Importantly…

Communicate regularly about how you are getting on with those you trust such as a parent, friend, teacher or coach.
